This text is a revision of the editor’s book Abdominal Ultrasound. This revised and expanded edition now covers all ultrasound outside obstetrics and gynaecology. There are new chapters on the prostate, scrotum, neck and face, musculoskeletal system and chest. There is a separate chapter on interventional ultrasound and the illustrations have been updated with new generation scans and the addition of Doppler where appropriate. The format enhances its clinical usefulness by showing an image representing normal and abnormal anatomy and the book also compares imaging modalities and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of techniques.
