A mammography procedure utilizes low-dose x- rays to view and find changes in breast tissue. This 3D medical animation offers an anatomical introduction of a lady’s breast and demonstrates the steps involved in getting a mammogram. Each breast is positioned in between 2 specialized plates, which then compress to flatten the breast. An x-ray electronic camera then catches photos of the glandular tissue and ducts, fat, connective tissue, and blood vessels inside the breast.
