Performance Criteria and Measurements for Doppler Ultrasound Devices, Technical Discussion-Second Edition

This document is intended as a source of advice to users of clinical ultrasound in their attempts to assess the performance of Doppler instruments. At present there exists no definitive set of performance standards or tests for Doppler instruments that cover all relevant clinical applications. This document lays out a framework for the development of performance standards. The major factors that determine the performance of Doppler instruments are discussed. It does not attempt to define absolute performance standards for Doppler devices and the clinical utility of such testing.
