Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts offers 2 Year A.S. in Ultrasound Technology Program (Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program) in San Mateo, Sacramento and Fresno, California.

Our Ultrasound Technology Program prepares students for entry-level employment after their graduation as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with specialization in general sonography (Abdominal and Small Parts, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Vascular Sonography). Graduates will be qualified to work in hospitals, diagnostic imaging centers, physicians’ offices, and clinics. Hospitals will remain the principal employer of ultrasound technicians.
The A.S. in Ultrasound Technology Program is recognized by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Graduates from this program are eligible to sit for ARRT(S) exam.

A.S. in Ultrasound Technology Program is an Associate of Science degree program.

Most of Ultrasound Technology students come from Fremont, San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Hayward, Danville, Daly City, Palo Alto, Redwood City, San Leandro, San Ramon, Sunnyvale, Foster City, Menlo Park, Newark, Milpitas, Pacifica, San Bruno, Santa Clara, Saratoga, Union City, Vallejo, and Walnut Creek. While attending our ultrasound technician school students are required to be rotated throughout our affiliated medical facilities.
