A: Do you understand about sonography schools here in our state of Virginia?
B: A little bit. I composed a paper on sonography schools in VA last semester. While there are several colleges and universities in the state that provide sonography courses, there are only a few that have actually been certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
A: How many certified schools are readily available to us?
B: Currently, there are four – the neighborhood colleges in Northern Virginia, Tidewater, and Piedmont and Southside Regional Medical Center. They all use one program– an associate degree in general sonography.
A: Do associate degrees take long to complete?
B: Not at all. They take a minimum of two years, provided that the student using has currently finish the course’s requirements.
