✅ Atelosteogenesis.

Atelosteogenesis describes a heterogeneous group of lethal skeletal dysplasias that are defined by aplasia/hypoplasia of the humeri, thigh and spinal column.

Ultrasound medical diagnosis:.

– Extreme shortening of the limbs, narrow thorax, clubfeet, dislocations of the hips, knees, and elbows.

Connected with:.

– Popular forehead.
– Hypertelorism.
– Micrognathia.
– Cleft taste buds.
– ‘hitchhiker thumbs”.

The features are comparable, however more extreme, to those of diastrophic dysplasia.

Pathology subtypes:.

– Atelosteogenesis type I (boomerang dysplasia).
– Atelosteogenesis type II.
– Atelosteogenesis type III.
