Obligations:

  • Perform accurate and quality diagnostic research studies
  • Teach and assist in training of students and new technologist
  • Interaction with referring doctor, new Technologist and trainees
  • Evaluation diagnostic findings with Tech/ Medication Director
  • Perform proper number of research studies per day
  • Stock supplies and linen
  • Follow Vascular Laboratory workflow
  • Render excellent patient care
  • As required, suggest/ carry out additional important research studies based on findings of initial examination or client presentations
  • Supply initial preliminary interpretation
  • Determine which studies ought to be performed at the bedside based on client medical condition
  • Separately carries out vascular research studies
  • Will use Plethysmographic devices: Parks flow, Unetixs Multilab series II (with HP DeskJet color printer). Phillips IU 22, Phillips iE 33, Epiq, GE Reasoning 9E and Zonare Color Doppler ultrasound machines (which consist of peripheral digital recorder thermal paper B/W and color printers), hand held constant wave pencil Dopplers

Certifications:

  • High school Diploma required
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT, RVS) sonographer with 2 years of clinical ultrasound experience involving venous, carotid, arterial and abdominal screening
  • Must be BLS certified
  • Knowledge of efficiency pulse volume recordings, segmental pressures and Doppler waveform analysis or completion of CAAHEP vascular sonography program
  • Comprehensive understanding of ultrasound physics and instrumentation principles, vascular technological test adjustments, anatomy and physical exam
  • Proficiency in operation of PC and use of Vascular database LX and Atrium
  • Understanding in all diagnostic duplex ultrasound treatments performed within the department and ultrasound directed treatment
