SUNY Downstate Diagnostic Medical Imaging (Sonography) Program

In 1972, the DMI Program at SUNY Downstate was the first program to provide a bachelor’s degree for sonography in the United States.

Today, this two year program continues to produce high-quality diagnostic medical sonographers in the heart of Brooklyn with economical tuition and a comprehensive education of all elements of the field.
