Position Description:
Runs ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated parts of the human anatomy of infant, pediatric, teen, adult and geriatric patients.
Position Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS FOR ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGISTS:
1. Certified or eligible for accreditation by:
American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
OR
American Pc Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S)
OR
Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
OR
All sonographers should acquire certification within twenty-four months of eligibility or cross training.
2. Certified in Cardio- lung Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of work
4. Sonographers need to remain in compliance with the ARDMS, ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education suitable to their practices
PREFERRED:
1. Graduate from a certified school of Ultrasound Technology.
2. Prior experience in ultrasound.
