A: Hi George. How did your dinner with your friends go?
B: It was great. We had a lot to catch up on. Did you know that Kelly is now studying to become a sonographer in Maryland?
A: No, I didn’t. That’s great. What made her want to study all the way in Maryland?
B: When she applied for a slot at Johns Hopkins and got it, she was pretty much sold on moving half way across the country.
A: Kelly has always been an outstanding student; I’m not surprised Johns Hopkins would want her to study there. What program is she taking?
B: A certificate program in Cardiac sonography. Her background in nursing really helped a lot in her securing a slot, since certificate programs are only open to graduates of health-related courses.
A: I see. I know you’ve always been interested in sonography as well. How about trying to apply for a slot at Johns Hopkins or other ultrasound schools in Maryland as well?
B: One step ahead of you, dad. Kelly gave some tips – she told me to read the articles on ultrasoundtechniciancenter.org. It’s a great site with the latest news on diagnostic medical sonography.
A: Alright. Keep me updated! I wouldn’t mind moving if it meant that you got a chance to study at one of the best schools in the country.
B: Sure, dad.
