One year of experience in a surgical setting chosen.
HS Diploma/GED required
Conclusion of an approved Surgical Technician program needed
BLS from the American Heart Association needed
Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for partners working in Colorado. A person carrying out Surgical Tech functions within the scope of another Colorado license, certification, or registration does not require to register as a Surgical Tech needed
Accreditation in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Innovation and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgical Treatment (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required
Physical Requirements-Medium Work – (Apply up to 50 pounds force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs often, and/or up to 10 pounds continuously)
