1. This scan can be expensive
2. You may be at the doctors office a while the day of your scan
3. Ask if you need to arrive with a full or empty bladder
4. Your anatomy scan will be done between week 18 and week 20
5. Tell your ultrasound technician if you do not want to know the sex of your child
6. They will scan all the vital organs and the skeletal system for abnormalities so a treatment plan can be prepared ahead of time if needed
7. Go in relaxed and excited about seeing your baby for a longer period of time than you have begore.
