Is Ultrasound-guided Supraclavicular Technique to the Subclavian Vein Catheterization Easier Than Internal Jugular in Children?
Ntroduction: Central vein catheterization is a challenge in kids even in knowledgeable hands, ultrasound (US) directed internal jugular vein (IJV) catheterization is most suggested for children. Current studies reveals the use of the method of ultrasound-guided supraclavicular subclavian vein to gain access to brachiocephalic vein (BCV) catheterization in kids as a beneficial approach providing high technical success and less problems. This study proposes to assess the degree of trouble of vein catheterization by comparing the facility of guidewire development in the US-guided brachiocephalic vein and internal jugular vein leak. Results: A hundred-fifty-five procedures were carried out, 68 on IVJ and 87 on BCV.
