A lab expert responsible for efficiency of all levels of basic testing within the analytical laboratory. Provides a high level of technical understanding and application of that knowledge to department screening and clinical importance. Regularly works in a self-directed manner and shows complex problem fixing abilities.

WHAT YOU BRING/JOB REQUIREMENTS

CERTIFIED EXTERNAL CANDIDATES ELIGIBLE FOR A $10,000 SIGN ON PERK! CAN NOT BE A PRESENT OR CURRENT CENTURA WORKER TO QUALIFY. MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

In addition to bringing your whole self to the work environment every day, certified candidates will require the following:

• 1 year of associated work experience preferred
• Associates Degree or completion of a U.S. Military 50- week course resulting in specialized of Medical Lab Expert or equivalent role and ASCP MLT certification or equivalent, OR Bachelors Degree in a Science field with suitable medical experience.
• MLT with ASCP, AMT, or comparable accreditation needed within 6 months of hire

This position is a 1.0 night shift FTE however presently consists of 2 day shifts in a pay duration (8 night shifts (1400-2230) and 2 day shifts (0830-1700) in a pay duration. Set up is: night shifts: Mon, Tues, off Wed, Thurs-Tues, off Wed, day shifts: Thurs, Fri, off Sat/Sun. Every other weekend & vacation rotation.

Physical Requirements-Light work – (Apply approximately 20 lbs require occasionally, and/or approximately 10 pounds regularly)

55- bed severe care health center and Level III Injury Center providing extensive healthcare to the greater Castle Rock neighborhood and surrounding areas. From knowledgeable emergency services to special deliveries in our modern Birthplace with a Level II NICU, this medical facility was constructed as a true community partnership between Centura Health and the people of Castle Rock. Location citizens not only look to this health center for care, but enjoy visiting its neighborhood gardens, outdoor areas and restaurant. The ER is among the busiest in the area – staffed with board-certified emergency situation doctors and specialty-trained emergency situation nurses. Our on-site imaging consists of MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray and digital mammography.
