There is increasing interest in utilizing ultrasound for evaluation of pelvic floor conditions such as voiding dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse and faecal incontinence. Whilst ultrasound equipment is extensively available around the world lots of clinicians may not have access to structured training in the method of pelvic flooring imaging and analysis of images in the context of pelvic flooring dysfunction. The authors comprise the three surgical disciplines (urology, colorectal surgery and gynaecology) who typically handle pelvic floor issues and have subspecialty know-how in pelvic floor imaging.
