The majority of ingested foreign bodies pass through the intestinal tract without an issue. Foreign body goal is typical in children, specifically those under 3 years of age, and in these cases chest radiography and CT are the primary imaging methods. A wide variety of circumstances are covered, from the typical issue of foreign body ingestion or aspiration in children and psychologically disabled grownups through to drug smuggling by body packing and gunshot wounds.
