I was so shocked. My wife is a labor and delivery nurse so she was far more composed than I was when we heard the news. What an incredible moment for us both.
Note: Since this was during the COVID lockdown, I was not allowed to attend the first ultrasound. My wife was not allowed to see the screen since the ultrasound was performed by a technician and the results needed to be reviewed by a doctor first. Jillian came back to the car where I was waiting and said “Do you want to record our reactions?” We thought it would be a nice moment to have so I set up my phone and began recording. We had a video call with the doctor in the parking lot before Jillian went back in the office to retrieve the ultrasound pictures.
