TITLE: RVT/Ultrasound Tech( Full time and Part Time)

LOCATION: Sante Fe, NM

Summary/Responsibilities:

Gets clients, describes technique of procedure and makes sure patient is comfy.

Responsible for obtaining and assessing patient, acquiring history, following protocols and documenting comprehensive notes to radiologist as appropriate for the treatment.

Produces images of the best image quality and works under the supervision of radiologist.

Supplies client services to any ages using imaging modalities

Runs ultrasound devices to carry out medical diagnostic ultrasound examinations and routine intrusive treatments according to recognized requirements and practices.

Can accurately select the differences in procedure descriptions, shows understanding of CPT Codes.

Displays patience and compassion to deal with patient’s, describes client by name, describes treatments to put patient “at ease”, acknowledges and satisfy patient’s needs.

Helps the patient into position through proper interaction.

Keeps designated location clean and orderly maintaining supplies for the space.

Bewares with the equipment cleaning procedure between and after each client

Keeps precise records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient circulation smooth.

Seeks and recognizes work to be done, evaluates patent order in its whole, matching details to the correct procedure, prepares environment in the very best interest of patient and their security, utilizes leisure time constructively (lessening hold-ups)

Follow developed radiation safety guidelines ALARA in referral to time, range and protecting.

Understands and preserves security standards for MRI.

Collaborates care as appropriate in these environments.

Certifications:

Need to be a graduate of an Imaging Program that fulfills the requirements for Radiography or Sonography.

Conclusion of an official Ultrasound training school is required.

ARDMS Pc Registry in Abdominal area and Vascular needed upon hire.

Additional Breast accreditation chosen

Basic Life Support( BLS) current upon hire

One year work experience in hospital setting (scientific rotation is not suitable) in sonography or radiology.

Additional Details:

Position reports to the Director of Imaging.

Individual needs to be patient focused. Have the ability to work and communicate with Physicians, RN’s and other medical personnel and has a lot of autonomy.

No arranged weekends or on-call.

They are looking for a full time individual and would also like to include a part time person too.

The range is $2850 hr-$4200 hr depending on experience.

The facility uses a complete benefit package including an approximately $100000 monthly rental reward for up to six months for this position.
