A: Hey Joe, I was reading my good friend’s notebook and saw that he used the words ultrasound tech and sonography throughout the lecture. Is sonography and ultrasound the exact same thing?
B: It is, actually. They both describe medical procedure that utilizes sound waves to create images inside the body– thus the terms “sonography” and “ultrasound”.
A: I see. It was a little complicated! I though they referred to different procedures or ideas. I think it’s pretty cool that this type of innovation enables us to really see inside the body without surgery.
To think that sonography uses something as easy as high frequency noise waves to attain so much.
